Hair Cut
First things first, go to your salon and get a trim. Whilst you're there get the hairdresser to run the thinning scissors through your hair - this will remove any dead ends and encourage growth. You should aim to get your hair cut every 12 weeks.
Washing
Cut back on how often you Shampoo your hair. Shampoos tend to be filled with harsh ingredients that can remove the natural oils that your hair needs to grow. Replace your current shampoo with a Sulfate free one and start washing your hair once or twice a week.
Start using a high-quality conditioner every time you shower, this will help replace any lost moisture and proteins. A conditioner will also help protect your hair from day to day damage.
When showering use cold water to rinse your hair to prevent heat damage and moisture loss.
Hair Masks
Once a week use a Hair Mask on wet hair. Hair Masks perform similarly to conditioners but are much stronger. Hair Masks are great for replacing lots of moisture and revitalising your hair, especially if it is dry and frizzy.
Heat
Give up the use of any styling tools e.g Curling irons and Straighteners. Heat damages hair, especially the intense heat you get from styling tools. Your hair will grow longer and quicker the healthier it is.
Anything else
Stay away from dyes and harsh products. Try changing your current pillowcase to a Silk one. As Silk is softer it won't cause as much friction with your hair. A Silk Pillowcase will help prevent matted and knotted hair.
